Big Rex(tinct) No Longer

A descent into the unknown surfaces of a formerly interesting mind.

Name: Big Rextinct No Longer
Location: Long Beach, California, United Kingdom

I suffered extinciton in late 2003, but through radioactive dating, I was reanimated as a very scattered, very friendly, remnant of the terrible lizards.

Maggie Moo

I am housesitting for my main doctor and my endocrinologist this weekend. They're great guys, they have a comfortable and pleasant house, and I get to sing Karaoke and care for their cute animals. Since I've been describing them to a lot of friends, I wanted to share some photographs. Both pets are friendly, though Maggie Moo, the dog, can be a bit pesky at times. She has been on pretty good behavior, however. The cat, Monsoon, is certainly the friendliest cat I have ever spent time with. She is a good cuddler and seeks out human contact.

I sound so dopily laudatory about these animals...it's like I'm trying to get you to adopt them from a shelter. Anyway, I've been having lots of fun. I was even worried that it would be hard with both animals sleeping in bed with me, but they've been fine in that respect as well. Check out the flicker for a few more pictures.

Video Clip of the Century

I don't know if any of you have seen this video of Connie Chung's farewall song, but I just found it this morning and had to share. It's so horrible that I can't tear my eyes off of it. I haven't ever watched her show, but I can't imagine she maintains this level of genius every day.

Daytona Beach Trip

The Penthouse
Originally uploaded by Bigrextinct.
Last night, I arrived back from FL where I had been since the first of the month. I was there first to grade AP tests in Daytona and second to visit my grandparents in Palm Harbor (near Tampa). It was a great trip all around. It was like returning to a delightful, albeit draining, summer camp to see all sorts of friends at the reading and tackle a bunch of tests. It was very restful and fun to then hang out with my grandparents, after cutting across the Flordia interstate in a rented Ford Fusion. I topped it all off by reading Kazuo Ishiguro's stunning heartache of new novel, _Never Let Me Go_, on the flight back yesterday.
